Travel Theme: HOT
“Cooking is like love, it should be entered into with abandon or not at all.”
Harriet Van Horne
Alisa of Where’s My Backpack , has given us another interesting challenge: this week it’s all about “HOT”. Many of her followers have posted responses related to weather, pining for the warmth of summer as they deal with current cold temps. Here on Kiawah, we are still enjoying our lovely, temperate fall weather so I’m focused on something a bit different.
This is one of my favorite photos, taken in Thailand at a coconut plantation. Can’t you just smell and taste the sweet coconut milk as it simmers in its copper pot over a hot fire?

Tina, love this photo! All of your subject, including the smoke is in focus and very sharp plus nice rich color. Were you shooting in A priority?
Great work,
Sylvia

My Father made maple syrup every spring. We would cook it down all night over an outdoor fire pit like this one. Thanks fro bringing back a sweet memory.
