NYC Chaos: Weekly Photo Challenge
“You must have chaos within you to give birth to a dancing star.”
Friedrich Nietzsche

LOCAL RESIDENTS
A short post this week as I am in NYC visiting with family ( more on that later). The photo I’ve chosen is an example of a technique I was introduced to in a photography class last week. Part of the class explored the capabilities of some creative iPhone apps. The element of the class I found most interesting was the difference in what you shoot, knowing you plan to modify later. In this case I felt the graphic elements of the scene would lend themselves well to the app I planned to use, called Prisma.
As for Chaos well, it’s New York! Need I say more?
An interesting image Tina! Enjoy your visiting! 🙂
NYC is on my bucket list. I’ve been to most of the 50 states, but haven’t made it north of Boston on the eastern seaboard.
Hope you are enjoying NYC. Watching the election at the moment; on the edge of my seat 🙂
Home already – short, fun trip. Just crazy that it should be so close IMHO. >
So cool! Looks like a stylised cartoon.
Such a cool effect. I find I keep going back to it. I hope you are having a good time in the city!
Many thanks Grace. It certainly gives the photo a different look!
Very interesting effect – I really need to start experimenting more.
Thanks Lisa, always fun to try something new isn’t it!

If I need chaos to be a dancing star, then what is the point of searching for peace?
Hmmm…well chaos can be good too, don’t you think? If nothing else it makes you better appreciate the peace!

Have a great trip, look forward to seeing more about it.
Thanks PJB, stay tuned 😊
Prisma is a cool app. I’ve seen some neat effects with portraits, too. Looks like you found the one place of calm in NYC! Have fun.
LOL, loved exploring the kids’ new environment. Some really beautiful walks on the river right there. Gorgeous autumn scenery too. Fun weekend.
Glad you had a nice visit in NYC. Miss the NE autumns.
Those birds look a bit lost, lol. But I suppose they were probably wandering around for some food. Very nicely done and it looks like an image you see in those olden day newspapers 🙂 Enjoy NY, Tina. Nothing like some fam time 🙂
Thanks Mabel–and you’re right about family. Our granddaughter just turned 10. Seems like yesterday she was an born! Where DOES the time go??

Well , the good news is that I have chaos…however….still waiting for the dancing star 🙂
I can just imagine those pigeons in a live video running around and into each other at 100 miles per hour, breaking the record for any fit-bit step counter !
LOL Gin, good chaos is the best!!
