Resilient: WPC
“Inside of a ring or out, ain’t nothing wrong with going down. It’s staying down that’s wrong.”
Muhammad Ali
Search the web for quotes about resilience and you’ll find hundreds of examples of great minds expounding on the subject. For me it was the quote by Muhammad Ali that really hit home (pun intended). Somehow the mental image of a boxer taking punches and continuing to come back for more rang the most true. I know it’s felt like at least 15 rounds to me these past two weeks but I’m confident that in the end resilience will out.
Wishing everyone a happy and healthy 2017.
Very meaningful! š
Thank you Len >
Somehow that pair of gloves reminds me of ‘punching hearts’.. š
Nicely done!
Happy New Year! I am sure looking forward to following another year of your travel photography!
Happy new year Tina .. I’m piecing things together here . So very glad reading through that unexpected health issues with DH are improving . May you both enjoy the new year ahead back on top form . Poppy x
š I like that sentence of Muhammad Ali!
Have a very HAPPY new year, dear Tina š
Thanks Rusha – yes, he definitely hit the nail on the head with that one didn’t he? Happy New Year to you too.
Happy New Year !!!
Thank you Andi!
š
Resilience? HA! Don’t fit in that boxing glove, Tina. Be a rubber band instead and see how far we can stretch ourselves. Happy New Year! Perpetua.
A stretchy rubberband – the perfect solution Perpetua! Thanks and Happy New Year to you too.
great quote from a influential person who made his mark in more than one way… Ali inspires me to make the days count, because I (we) cannot let one moment define me (us) – we are more resilient than we realize. Happy New Year.
Thanks Clay – and the same to you. Agree wholeheartedly with your comments.
Perfect for the challenge Tina. Warmest wishes to you both for a very Happy New Year š
Thanks Andrew – here’s to a world of peace in 2017.

Thanks Claudette – I’m just the caretaker on this one, and it’s improving day by day, thanks! Happy New Year to you too.
Glad to hear things are improving, but being a caretaker is very hard work too – I was for 3 years for my Hubby and it can break you. Best wishes.
Thank you for sharing your feelings around this time of the year. Just hope that your resilient strength accompany you through this journey. Just want to share with you my entry.

Happy New Year, T. It feels like things have turned the corner.
Yes, hopefully it’s getting better day by day Janie – thanks for staying in touch and Happy New Year to you two also!! A big year coming up for you this time š
Tina, as I read the comments of others and read between the lines of your posts, it’s clear you are going through a ‘white water’ time in your life. Though I can only guess what or why, please know my thoughts and prayers are with you. Take care, and remember the willow that bends in the wind is also resilient.
Many thanks Lindy – working through a health issue with my husband but he is doing better day by day. Glad to see the holidays end this year – and looking forward to a healthy New Year. Hoping the same for you and yours.
Such a Great Quote Tina, I know exactly how you feel! Here’s hoping the New year brings New ” Resilience” !! š Teresa

I’ll raise a glass to that!

Thanks Jude, I’m fine, except for the rigors of care-taking for my husband, who is happily on the mend. Appreciate your concern. Wishing you the best in 2017.

Thanks Lindy – I’m fine actually. It’s my husband who’s fighting back from the abyss and is much better now, thank goodness. Here’s to a happy AND healthy new year for us all!!!
Great quote — and “ain’t it the truth”? We all take poundings daily; it’s the resilience that shows our true personalities.
Best wishes for a wonderful 2017!
